What pd00 does
pd00 turns the image formats that modern phones and websites produce into the formats everything else still expects. iPhones save photos as HEIC, websites serve WebP and AVIF, and yet the insurance portal, the school form, the print kiosk and your colleague’s Windows laptop want a JPG or a PDF. This page converts any mix of HEIC, HEIF, WebP, AVIF, JPG and PNG files into JPG, PNG or one combined PDF, as many as 500 at a time, without sending a single byte to a server.
Every image is decoded and re-encoded by code that runs in your browser. HEIC is handled by libheif compiled to WebAssembly, WebP and AVIF by the browser’s own decoders, and the results are written straight to your Downloads folder. That is why there is no upload progress bar, no queue on a remote server and no “your files will be deleted after one hour” promise to take on trust.
How to convert a batch
- Drag photos, or a whole folder, onto the box above. You can also click to pick files, or paste an image from the clipboard.
- Choose JPG, PNG or PDF. For JPG you can set the quality; for every format you can cap the long edge at 4096, 2560, 1920 or 1280 pixels if you need smaller files.
- Conversion starts immediately and runs on several background threads, so the page stays responsive while a hundred photos are processed.
- Save files one by one, or press Download all (ZIP). In PDF mode you get a single PDF with one photo per page.
Changed your mind about the settings? Adjust them and press Apply new settings to redo the batch. Page size and page order for a PDF can be changed at any time without converting again.
Built for photos you care about
Date taken, camera and location stay with the photo
Most quick converters draw the image onto a canvas and save what the canvas gives back, which throws away the EXIF block. pd00 copies the original EXIF into the new JPG or PNG, so photo libraries still sort by date taken and still know which camera and lens you used. The orientation flag is reset because the pixels are already turned upright, which is what stops converted photos from appearing sideways. If you are about to share pictures publicly, tick Remove GPS location: the GPS section is deleted and its coordinates are overwritten, while the rest of the information is kept.
Colors that match your phone
iPhones capture in Display P3, a wider color space than the sRGB most web tools assume. pd00 carries the photo’s own color profile into the converted file, so reds and greens keep their punch instead of looking flat on a good screen.
ZIP files that sort themselves
Each file inside the ZIP is timestamped with the moment the photo was taken, not the moment it was converted. Unzip the archive and sort by date modified, and your pictures come out in shooting order. iPhone Live Photos are recognized too: the short .MOV clip that sits next to each still is skipped, and the still photo is converted.
One PDF from many photos
Pick PDF as the output and pd00 builds a single document with one image per page, ready to attach to an expense report, a visa application or a claim form. Choose US Letter, A4 or pages that match each photo’s shape; Letter and A4 get half-inch margins and switch between portrait and landscape per photo. Pages are ordered by the date each photo was taken unless you choose file name or the order you added them. JPGs that need no changes keep their compressed image data byte for byte, so there is no second round of compression — only their EXIF block, including any GPS location, is left out. Need to combine that PDF with others, cut pages out or shrink it for email? Use Merge PDF, Split PDF and Compress PDF, which run locally too.
Private by design, and you can check it
The page’s security policy only allows network connections back to pd00.com and to Cloudflare’s cookieless, anonymous visit counter — which records a page view and never any file content — so the browser itself blocks every other destination. You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network panel while a batch converts, and you will see the page load its own scripts and nothing leave. The step-by-step check takes about a minute. Once the converter has loaded you can even switch off Wi-Fi and keep going.
Good to know before you start
- Works in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16.4 or later, on desktop and on phones. Large batches go faster on a computer than on a phone.
- Each batch can hold up to 500 files — a technical limit that keeps the browser tab responsive — with no watermark, no account and no daily cap.
- HDR photos are converted to standard dynamic range, and animated images keep only their first frame.
- PDFs carry the pictures but not their EXIF or GPS data, which is usually what you want when sending documents.
